About us
The Northern Design & Engineering GmbH offers extensive solutions for your project in the area of ship and yacht building.
The engineering office Northern Design und NST-CNC GmbH were founded in 2006/2014 by Mr. Michael Lanz and were renamed in 2016 into Northern Design & Engineering GmbH. The company is located directly at the Kiel-Canal (NOK) with Pier 100.
The focus is on technical installations and equipment for new buildings, repairs and conversions in the maritime environment of:
- Yachts
- Cruise liners
- Naval vessels
- authority ships
- Maritime supplier industry / offshore
Northern Design & Engineering consist of a range of professionals and offers a wide range of services in the field of innovative and maritime shipping and its industry.

Career
There are currently no specific vacancies. We are nevertheless open to qualified and motivated applicants. We also offer a wide range of opportunities for internships and studies.
You have good knowledge and experience in the field of shipbuilding with a focus on shipbuilding equipment and furnishings and are familiar with the common CAD programs such as ACAD, Rhinoceros and Inventor.
